Travelling with her cello, Ilse de Ziah takes a trip around Ireland with filmmaker Maarten Roos searching for the origins of ten Irish airs. The connections between the music, the land, and its people make for a fascinating discovery of the history and stories behind the airs.

This feature length film includes interviews and performances with renowned Irish musicians including Matt Cranitch, Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin, Lillis O’Leary, Marja Gaynor and Siobhan Armstrong, and meetings with local characters. The Airs are played live by Ilse in the locations where they originate. Release date: January 31st, 2014.

    I saw the film on a recent flight to Dublin and knew if was the perfect gift for my Celtic harper friend, plus then I would get to see again as well! Enjoyed it greatly!
